Grant Your Grace, O Guru, O Perfect Supreme Lord God, that I might chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, night and day. I speak the Ambrosial Words of the Guru’s Bani, praising the Lord. Your Will seems so sweet to me, Lord. Show kindness and compassion, O Lord of the Word, Lord of the Universe; without You, I have no other at all. Almighty, sublime, infinite and perfect Lord — my soul, body, wealth and mind are Yours. I am foolish, stupid, masterless, fickle, powerless, lowly and ignorant. Prays Nanak, I seek Your Sanctuary — please save me from coming and going in reincarnation. || 1 || In the Sanctuary of the Holy, I have found the Dear Lord; I constantly sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. Applying the dust of the devotees to the mind and body, O Dear Lord, all sinners are sanctified. The sinners are sanctified in the company of those who have met the Primal Lord of Destiny. Attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they are given the gift of the life of the soul; their gifts increase day by day. Wealth, the supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, and the nine treasures come to those who meditate on the Lord, and conquer their own soul. Prays Nanak, it is only by great good fortune that the Holy, the Lord’s companions are found, O friends. || 2 || Those who deal in Truth, O Dear Lord, are the perfect bankers. They possess the great treasure, O Dear Lord, and they earn the profit of the Lord’s Praise. Sexual desire, anger and greed do not cling to those who are attuned to God. They know the One, and they believe in the One; they are intoxicated with the Lord’s Love. They fall at the Feet of the Saints, and seek their Sanctuary; their minds are filled with joy. Prays Nanak, those who have the Naam in their laps are the true bankers. || 3 || O Nanak, meditate in remembrance on that Dear Lord, who supports all by His Power. The Gurmukhs do not forget the Dear Lord, the Primal Creator Lord, from their minds. Pain, disease and fear do not cling to those who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. By the Grace of the Saints, they cross over the terrifying world-ocean, and obtain their pre-ordained destiny. They are congratulated and applauded, and their minds are at peace; they meet the Infinite Lord God. Prays Nanak, meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Har, Har, my desires are fulfilled. || 4 || 3 ||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
करि किरपा गुर पारब्रहम पूरे अनदिनु नामु वखाणा राम ॥
Kar kirpā gur pārbarahm pūre an▫ḏin nām vakẖāṇā rām.
Shower Your Mercy upon me, O Guru, O Perfect Supreme Lord God, that I might chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, night and day.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਮਿਠਾ ਲਾਗੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
अम्रित बाणी उचरा हरि जसु मिठा लागै तेरा भाणा राम ॥
Amriṯ baṇī ucẖrā har jas miṯẖā lāgai ṯerā bẖāṇā rām.
I speak the Ambrosial Words of the Guru's Bani, praising the Lord. Your Will is sweet to me, Lord.
ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੋਇ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨਾ ॥
करि दइआ मइआ गोपाल गोबिंद कोइ नाही तुझ बिना ॥
Kar ḏa▫i▫ā ma▫i▫ā gopāl gobinḏ ko▫e nāhī ṯujẖ binā.
Show kindness and compassion, O Sustainer of the Word, Lord of the Universe; without You, I have no other.
ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗਥ ਅਪਾਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਜੀਉ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਨਾ ॥
समरथ अगथ अपार पूरन जीउ तनु धनु तुम्ह मना ॥
Samrath agath apār pūran jī▫o ṯan ḏẖan ṯumĥ manā.
Almighty, sublime, infinite, perfect Lord - my soul, body, wealth and mind are Yours.
ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਅਨਾਥ ਚੰਚਲ ਬਲਹੀਨ ਨੀਚ ਅਜਾਣਾ ॥
मूरख मुगध अनाथ चंचल बलहीन नीच अजाणा ॥
Mūrakẖ mugaḏẖ anāth cẖancẖal balhīn nīcẖ ajāṇā.
I am foolish, stupid, masterless, fickle, powerless, lowly and ignorant.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक सरणि तेरी रखि लेहु आवण जाणा ॥१॥
Binvanṯ Nānak saraṇ ṯerī rakẖ leho āvaṇ jāṇā. ||1||
Prays Nanak, I seek Your Sanctuary - please save me from coming and going in reincarnation. ||1||
ਸਾਧਹ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹ ਹਰਿ ਨੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
साधह सरणी पाईऐ हरि जीउ गुण गावह हरि नीता राम ॥
Sāḏẖah sarṇī pā▫ī▫ai har jī▫o guṇ gāvah har nīṯā rām.
In the Sanctuary of the Holy Saints, I have found the Dear Lord, and I constantly sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਧੂਰਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਲਗਉ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਭ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
धूरि भगतन की मनि तनि लगउ हरि जीउ सभ पतित पुनीता राम ॥
Ḏẖūr bẖagṯan kī man ṯan laga▫o har jī▫o sabẖ paṯiṯ punīṯā rām.
Applying the dust of the devotees to the mind and body, O Dear Lord, all sinners are sanctified.
ਪਤਿਤਾ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਹੋਹਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
पतिता पुनीता होहि तिन्ह संगि जिन्ह बिधाता पाइआ ॥
Paṯiṯā punīṯā hohi ṯinĥ sang jinĥ biḏẖāṯā pā▫i▫ā.
The sinners are sanctified in the company of those who have met the Creator Lord.
ਨਾਮ ਰਾਤੇ ਜੀਅ ਦਾਤੇ ਨਿਤ ਦੇਹਿ ਚੜਹਿ ਸਵਾਇਆ ॥
नाम राते जीअ दाते नित देहि चड़हि सवाइआ ॥
Nām rāṯe jī▫a ḏāṯe niṯ ḏėh cẖaṛėh savā▫i▫ā.
Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they are given the gift of the life of the soul; their gifts increase day by day.
ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਆਤਮੁ ਜੀਤਾ ॥
रिधि सिधि नव निधि हरि जपि जिनी आतमु जीता ॥
Riḏẖ siḏẖ nav niḏẖ har jap jinī āṯam jīṯā.
Wealth, the supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, and the nine treasures come to those who meditate on the Lord, and conquer their own soul.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੀਤਾ ॥੨॥
बिनवंति नानकु वडभागि पाईअहि साध साजन मीता ॥२॥
Binvanṯ Nānak vadbẖāg pā▫ī▫ah sāḏẖ sājan mīṯā. ||2||
Prays Nanak, it is only by great good fortune that the Holy Saints, the Lord's companions, are found, O friends. ||2||
ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
जिनी सचु वणंजिआ हरि जीउ से पूरे साहा राम ॥
Jinī sacẖ vaṇanji▫ā har jī▫o se pūre sāhā rām.
Those who deal in Truth, O Dear Lord, are the perfect bankers.
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਤਿੰਨ ਪਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਲਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
बहुतु खजाना तिंन पहि हरि जीउ हरि कीरतनु लाहा राम ॥
Bahuṯ kẖajānā ṯinn pėh har jī▫o har kīrṯan lāhā rām.
They possess the great treasure, O Dear Lord, and they reap the profit of the Lord's Praise.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨ ਲੋਭੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਤਿਆ ॥
कामु क्रोधु न लोभु बिआपै जो जन प्रभ सिउ रातिआ ॥
Kām kroḏẖ na lobẖ bi▫āpai jo jan parabẖ si▫o rāṯi▫ā.
Sexual desire, anger and greed do not cling to those who are attuned to God.
ਏਕੁ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਾਤਿਆ ॥
एकु जानहि एकु मानहि राम कै रंगि मातिआ ॥
Ėk jānėh ek mānėh rām kai rang māṯi▫ā.
They know the One, and they believe in the One; they are intoxicated with the Lord's Love.
ਲਗਿ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਣੀ ਪੜੇ ਸਰਣੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਿਨਾ ਓਮਾਹਾ ॥
लगि संत चरणी पड़े सरणी मनि तिना ओमाहा ॥
Lag sanṯ cẖarṇī paṛe sarṇī man ṯinā omāhā.
They fall at the Feet of the Saints, and seek their Sanctuary; their minds are filled with joy.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਲੈ ਸੇਈ ਸਚੇ ਸਾਹਾ ॥੩॥
बिनवंति नानकु जिन नामु पलै सेई सचे साहा ॥३॥
Binvanṯ Nānak jin nām palai se▫ī sacẖe sāhā. ||3||
Prays Nanak, those who have the Naam in their laps are the true bankers. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਈ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
नानक सोई सिमरीऐ हरि जीउ जा की कल धारी राम ॥
Nānak so▫ī simrī▫ai har jī▫o jā kī kal ḏẖārī rām.
O Nanak, meditate on that Dear Lord, who supports all by His almighty strength.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨਹੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुरमुखि मनहु न वीसरै हरि जीउ करता पुरखु मुरारी राम ॥
Gurmukẖ manhu na vīsrai har jī▫o karṯā purakẖ murārī rām.
In their minds, the Gurmukhs do not forget the Dear Lord, the Primal Creator Lord.
ਦੂਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਭਉ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
दूखु रोगु न भउ बिआपै जिन्ही हरि हरि धिआइआ ॥
Ḏūkẖ rog na bẖa▫o bi▫āpai jinĥī har har ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
Pain, disease and fear do not cling to those who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤਰੇ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
संत प्रसादि तरे भवजलु पूरबि लिखिआ पाइआ ॥
Sanṯ parsāḏ ṯare bẖavjal pūrab likẖi▫ā pā▫i▫ā.
By the Grace of the Saints, they cross over the terrifying world-ocean, and obtain their pre-ordained destiny.
ਵਜੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਮਨਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਆਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੀ ॥
वजी वधाई मनि सांति आई मिलिआ पुरखु अपारी ॥
vajī vaḏẖā▫ī man sāʼnṯ ā▫ī mili▫ā purakẖ apārī.
They are congratulated and applauded, their minds are at peace, and they meet the infinite Lord God.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਇਛ ਪੁੰਨੀ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੩॥
बिनवंति नानकु सिमरि हरि हरि इछ पुंनी हमारी ॥४॥३॥
Binvanṯ Nānak simar har har icẖẖ punnī hamārī. ||4||3||
Prays Nanak, by meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Har, Har, my desires are fulfilled. ||4||3||

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰੂ-ਪ੍ਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ! ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ।
ਗੁਰ = ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ! ਅਨਦਿਨੁ = ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼। ਵਖਾਣਾ = ਵਖਾਣਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ! ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਗੁਣ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ) ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ,
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਮਿਠਾ ਲਾਗੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥

ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੜੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ। ਉਚਰਾ = ਉੱਚਰਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ। ਜਸੁ = ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ।
ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਰਹੇ।
ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੋਇ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨਾ ॥

ਹੇ ਜੱਗ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਤਾ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਮਇਆ = ਕਿਰਪਾ। ਗੋਪਾਲ = ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ!
ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਹੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆ ਕਰ, ਤਰਸ ਕਰ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗਥ ਅਪਾਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਜੀਉ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਨਾ ॥
Almighty, sublime, infinite, perfect Lord - my soul, body, wealth and mind are Yours.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ, ਅਕਥ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਮਾਲਕ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ, ਦੇਹ ਦੌਲਤ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਤੈਡੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
ਅਗਥ = ਅਕੱਥ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਜੀਉ = ਜਿੰਦ। ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ = ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਅਕੱਥ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦ, ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ, ਇਹ ਧਨ-ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਾਂ, ਨਿਆਸਰਾ ਹਾਂ, ਚੰਚਲ, ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ, ਨੀਚ ਤੇ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਹਾਂ।

ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ = ਜੰਮਣ ਮਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ॥੧॥

In the Sanctuary of the Holy Saints, I have found the Dear Lord, and I constantly sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨਾਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਸਾਧਹ ਸਰਣੀ = ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ। ਗਾਵਹ = ਅਸੀਂ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਨੀਤਾ = ਨਿੱਤ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਧੂਰਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਲਗਉ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਭ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Applying the dust of the devotees to the mind and body, O Dear Lord, all sinners are sanctified.
ਜੇਕਰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਚਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ ਹੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਤਨਿ = ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ। ਲਗਉ = {ਹੁਕਮੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਤ, ਅੱਨ ਪੁਰਖ, ਇਕ-ਵਚਨ} ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹੇ। ਪਤਿਤ = ਵਿਕਾਰੀ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਰਹੇ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਤਿਤਾ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਹੋਹਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
The sinners are sanctified in the company of those who have met the Creator Lord.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਾਵਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਗਿ = ਨਾਲ। ਬਿਧਾਤਾ = ਕਰਤਾਰ। ਰਾਤੇ = ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਸੁੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਮ ਰਾਤੇ ਜੀਅ ਦਾਤੇ ਨਿਤ ਦੇਹਿ ਚੜਹਿ ਸਵਾਇਆ ॥
Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they are given the gift of the life of the soul; their gifts increase day by day.
ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਰੂਹ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਰੋਜ਼ ਬਰੋਜ਼ ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਜੀਅ ਦਾਤੇ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ। ਦੇਹਿ = ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਚੜਹਿ ਸਵਾਇਆ = (ਉਹ ਦਾਤਾਂ) ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ-ਜੋਗੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਨਿੱਤ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਆਤਮੁ ਜੀਤਾ ॥
Wealth, the supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, and the nine treasures come to those who meditate on the Lord, and conquer their own soul.
ਜੋ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਂ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ = ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ। ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ = ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ। ਜਪਿ = ਜਪ ਕੇ। ਜਿਨੀ = ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ) ਨੇ। ਆਤਮੁ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਸਭ ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੀਤਾ ॥੨॥
Prays Nanak, it is only by great good fortune that the Holy Saints, the Lord's companions, are found, O friends. ||2||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਯਾਰ, ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਾਈਅਹਿ = ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Those who deal in Truth, O Dear Lord, are the perfect bankers.
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਜੋ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਪੂਜਨੀਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਹਨ।
ਸਚੁ = ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ। ਵਣੰਜਿਆ = ਵਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੂਰੇ = ਭਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਹਨ,
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਤਿੰਨ ਪਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਲਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
They possess the great treasure, O Dear Lord, and they reap the profit of the Lord's Praise.
ਹੇ ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਦਾ ਨਫ਼ਾ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਹਿ = ਕੋਲ। ਲਾਹਾ = ਲਾਭ, ਖੱਟੀ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਇਸ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ (ਦੀ) ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨ ਲੋਭੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਤਿਆ ॥
Sexual desire, anger and greed do not cling to those who are attuned to God.
ਭੋਗ-ਬਿਲਾਸ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਿਮੜਦੇ, ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ = ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਸਿਉ = ਨਾਲ। ਰਾਤਿਆ = ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ।
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਕਾਮ, ਨਾਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਹ ਲੋਭ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ,
ਏਕੁ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਾਤਿਆ ॥
They know the One, and they believe in the One; they are intoxicated with the Lord's Love.
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਇਕ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਧਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਜਾਨਹਿ = ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਾਨਹਿ = ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ = ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਮਾਤਿਆ = ਮਸਤ।
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ (ਪੱਕਾ ਸਾਥੀ) ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਲਗਿ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਣੀ ਪੜੇ ਸਰਣੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਿਨਾ ਓਮਾਹਾ ॥
They fall at the Feet of the Saints, and seek their Sanctuary; their minds are filled with joy.
ਉਹ ਸਾਧੂ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ।
ਲਗਿ = ਲੱਗ ਕੇ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਓਮਾਹਾ = ਚਾਉ, ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ।
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ) ਚਾਉ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਲੈ ਸੇਈ ਸਚੇ ਸਾਹਾ ॥੩॥
Prays Nanak, those who have the Naam in their laps are the true bankers. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ।
ਪਲੈ = ਪੱਲੇ ਵਿਚ। ਸਚੇ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ॥੩॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਐਸੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਈ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
O Nanak, meditate on that Dear Lord, who supports all by His almighty strength.
ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ = ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਾ ਕੀ = ਜਿਸ ਦੀ। ਕਲ = ਕਲਾ, ਮੱਤਾ।
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਦਾ) ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੱਤਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨਹੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
In their minds, the Gurmukhs do not forget the Dear Lord, the Primal Creator Lord.
ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਰ ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਤਵੰਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ। ਮਨਹੁ = ਮਨ ਤੋਂ। ਪੁਰਖੁ = ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਮੁਰਾਰੀ = {ਮੁਰ-ਅਰਿ। ਅਰਿ = ਵੈਰੀ} ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ।
ਦੂਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਭਉ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
Pain, disease and fear do not cling to those who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har.
ਪੀੜਾ, ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਿੰਮੜਦੇ, ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਗ, ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ, ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤਰੇ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, they cross over the terrifying world-ocean, and obtain their pre-ordained destiny.
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਡਰਾਉਣੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕੁਛ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ। ਪੂਰਬਿ = ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ (ਕਮਾਏ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ)। ਪਾਇਆ = ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤਰ ਲਿਆ (ਸਮਝੋ), ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ (ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ) ਲਿਖਿਆ ਲੇਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਵਜੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਮਨਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਆਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੀ ॥
They are congratulated and applauded, their minds are at peace, and they meet the infinite Lord God.
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਾ ਮਿਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਸੀਤਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਧਾਈ = ਵਧਦੀ ਦਸ਼ਾ, ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ। ਵਜੀ = ਵੱਜ ਪਈ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵਾਜਾ ਵੱਜਿਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਨਿੱਕੇ ਖੜਾਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀਦੇ)। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਅਪਾਰੀ = ਬੇਅੰਤ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਠੰਡ ਪੈ ਗਈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ।
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਇਛ ਪੁੰਨੀ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੩॥
Prays Nanak, by meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Har, Har, my desires are fulfilled. ||4||3||
ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਨਾਨਕ' ਅਤੇ 'ਨਾਨਕੁ' ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਵੇਖੋ}। ਸਿਮਰਿ = ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ। ਪੁੰਨੀ = ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੪॥੩॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਚਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
